This new introduction is due to Sprint's partnership with 2D barcode provider Scanbuy Inc. Scanbuy Inc. is an international leader in the mobile marketing solutions industry. With this new partnership, Scanbuy's Scanlife system is conveniently made available to Sprint users. For existing Sprint customers, all they have to do is to type 'SCAN' and sent the message to 70734 and they will be given instructions on how to download the 2D barcode scanner into their mobile phones.
What can customers do with the new 2D barcode scanner? Well, for one, you can walk past a movie poster, see a 2D barcode on it, scan it and get instant access on your mobile phone to web links, videos, music, synopsis, who's starring in the movie, interviews, price of tickets and how to book tickets, trailers, etc. Right there and then, you can make a decision on whether to watch the movie or not.
