Mini’s QR Code Campaign
So you’ve been meaning to get yourself a nice little car….literally speaking, and you’re hunting everywhere for information on as many models and brands as possible. Let’s imagine that you see something on a magazine in a client’s office and there’s a website URL there. You try to remember the URL to the page that they’re trying to lead you to. But by the time you’ve come back from your client’s office, for the life of you, you can’t seem to recall the URL anymore!
The amazing thing with QR Codes is that it leads to instant information. If you want information right there and then, all you have to do is to scan the QR Code. Does life get any better than this? Not unless we’re talking about a whole year’s worth of ice-cream, I bet.
Anyway, Mini Cooper ran a QR Code campaign from February till recently and it seems as though they’re trying to capture from really web-savvy people out there in the market.
Returning to our example above, let’s say you see this advertisement in your local newspaper and you’re really interested in finding out more information about this car (like how much does it cost, and what’s so special about it), wouldn’t it be so convenient for you if you DID use the QR Code printed at the top right corner of the advertisement to access instant info on it?
