Claro is also targeting non-Claro consumers. For those who are not Claro customers, the QR Code will lead them to a website that offers them Claro services and packages. Claro holds a giant share of the pie in terms of wireless subscribers which is twenty-five percent. For them, it means approximately one-hundred-and-ninety million wireless subscribers throughout the country.
Despite the fact that the company is not the largest mobile phone network operator in Latin America, it's still within the top five list. And besides, this is considered a very bold move and the executives should be given a pat on the back for giving the QR Code marketing method a shot. It's only a matter of time when other companies follow suit.
