Have anyone ever told you that QR Codes are the boring-est piece of ‘anything’ seen on this planet? Nothing can be as boring and bland, aesthetically speaking, as the QR Code or the 2D barcode….except for a plain piece of A4 paper, maybe. 

But within those little boxes contain more information than you can actually manage to type out or scribble out on your cell phone or iPhone in 3 minutes! That’s the power of technology – and technology is about to take a turn for the better because according to what we spotted on the radar today, complaints about how terribly dull and dreary the QR Code is, it’s all going to be thrown out of the window. 

There’s a new service in Japan that will actually help you to DESIGN your own fashion-designer QR Code that actually works. At least, we’re hoping that it is not distorted to the point of not working but I think it is going to work given a little bit of time. 

This goes along the lines of what Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton did with the cute panda bear QR Code. So, now when you pay $300 to $1,300, you get to have your very own personal designer QR Code. Isn’t that so incredibly awesome? However, we need to point out that some people actually had some trouble reading the QR Code with the cell phone. Determined people actually scanned the QR Code a couple of times before it gave them any information but generally speaking, it’s safe to say that the LV code worked. 

But take a look at the price….it ain’t cheap. You could create your own personalized QR Code with our picture-embedding QR Code generator over here by selecting either a basic QR Code, a social QR Code (that leads to the online social networking sites that you like) or a graphical which allows you to upload your image into the QR Code. 

But for something like this…


…there’s a price to pay. 

The designer QR Code service is reportedly being offered by the company that initially came up with the idea of testing the Japanese market on designer QR Code chocolates.
